Hair is like a living plant in the soil.
To grow hair, it needs
air/aeration; sunlight from time to time; moisture/water; and nutrients in
the form of oil, shampoo, and conditioner. It also needs routine
infused treatment and less frequent handling.
Spray with water to loosen braided/styled hair; and apply scalp moisturizing oil immediately after making the hair. Handling the hair when it's dry leads to unneeded breakage.
Preferably use distilled room temperature for washing (or spraying) to keep the hair and scalp as clean (or softened) as often as possible. Heat Protectors when using heat on the hair is highly recommended.
Pat the hair soft towels (cotton or microfiber) instead of rubbing on it which hurts the hair structure. Also over-moisturisation can make the hair brittle.
In-between hairdos, one can try deep conditioning by infusing the hair for hours
with - blended/ground and cooked ingredients - found in the kitchen such as egg,
avocado, carrots, olive oil, etc. There are also commercially sold
natural hair grow treatments such as deep conditioners and other oils.
Depending on the texture and
thickness, texturizers, relaxers and dyes may not be suitable. Keep your hair maintenance tools very clean by first soaking in soapy water, to enhance the health of the hair.
Protective hair styles that will last longer are better. Less manipulation will retain length and strength. Reduce pulling on the hair especially at the edges or central part of the hair.
Daily: Massage or rub the scalp with your preferred hair oil or mixture of oils, for example coconut oil to activate growth (hair follicles). Moisturize with leave-in conditioner in a spray bottle afterwards to lock in the oil.
Results are often seen in about 2 months with consistency.
Hope this helps😊
